I have been in ministry most of my life. That is not an exaggeration – I have spent more of my life living overseas in other cultures than here in California where I was born. There’s something beautiful about filling our lives with new friends, but sometimes there’s nothing better than sitting down with old friends and just being me.
Last week I had the opportunity of sitting down with long time friend and Christian musician, Terry Clark. He and his wife, Nancy have been a part of our lives for years, partnering with us on the mission field and supporting Edge Project. (Next week we will post a link as soon as it’s available)
It’s amazing to stop and look at all the doors that have been opened for me over the past few years with Edge; if someone had told me 10, even 5 years ago that I would be speaking at universities and on the radio about my experiences and my ministries through Edge, dancing and being a doula, I think I’d have a hard time believing it. I mean, God can do anything right!?!? But sometimes we believe He’ll do amazing things for other people, but ME?? Nah.
He has done amazing things; opened doors I never considered knocking on, turned difficult situations around, brought physical healing to my body when I was suffering a few years ago. Talking with Terry was a wonderful opportunity to revisit all that God has done and what I trust He will do. There is nothing like reliving the past few months and years to be reminded on God’s faithfulness.
It gives me hope, personally.
It gives me hope, spiritually.
It gives me hope in ministry.
It gives me hope with Edge Project.
God has only begun His precious work that I’m so happy to be a part of.
