To Whom Much is Given…

Edge Project

Edge Project

"To whom much is given, much will be required."

This almost sounds like a threat, or a dare or a mom guilting her kids into doing something for her. But that’s not really the heart if God. God gives us things to enjoy and protect and multiply. God gives us beautiful things and then gives us the abilities to manage these things and then, the love to share them.

Edge is a gift I don’t take lightly.

Edge was started by my husband, four girls and I nearly a decade ago. We left Germany and headed to Spain to see what God had in store for us. It was an adventure, one with highs and lows and disappointments and blessings; Edge became something we never imagined; God gave us an idea and so many opportunities to take Edge in previously unimagined directions.

I want to be a good steward of what God has given us; Edge is a gift that has blessed so many. I don’t want to let go of what God has done in my life and that of so many through the program. It’s not just wanting to hold on to it, it’s being certain that God isn’t finished with it yet; there are still lives to be touched.

"What's begun in the Spirit, don't complete in the flesh."

Again, a gentle admonition from God. Not a threat, but a reminder, He started the work, let Him continue it.  I never want to take Edge in a direction God hasn’t already headed; He has brought us so far over the years and I want to follow Him down this path too, even if it’s windy and full of obstacles – they are nothing God hasn’t brought us past and over and behind and through before.

Pray with me that God raises someone up to restore El Diseno – for His glory – because it’s His, not ours.
