Community and Food

Edge has begun. Friendship, food, stories.

Screen Shot 2016-06-21 at 7.34.52 PMWe have a friend who, whenever he wants to get together, he’ll say, “Let’s put our feet under the table.” Translation: come over for dinner. Nothing breaks barriers, opens the heart and feeds the soul, more than food.

As Americans, a meal is a time to feed ourselves, but Europeans see a meal as a time to commune, connect and savor the moment. A meal is an event.

So once the new Edgies have gotten to know each other, we take this concept and bring it to the community. The Edge Staff takes 3 days together to prepare the houses for our community and we begin to share meals building our first church community.

An essential at Edge Project is our Community Meals with one another. Here we dive into organic conversations and healthy food where the Spirit of God shows up in Amazing ways everytime we put our feet under the table.
